Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on the website www.villawin.co.uk and any associated apps (the "Website"), how we use them, and how you can manage them. For information about how we use your personal data more generally, please see our Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms used but not defined here have the meaning given in our Privacy Policy.

1. INTRODUCTION

When you access or use the Website, we may collect information from your device through cookies and similar technologies. For simplicity, we refer to all such technologies as "Trackers" in this policy, and we use the term "cookies" only where we specifically mean that browser-based type of Tracker.

We use Trackers managed directly by us ("first-party" Trackers) and Trackers that enable services provided by third parties ("third-party" Trackers). We have no control over third-party Trackers, which are subject to the relevant third party’s own policies; please read these carefully.

Some Trackers are stored only for the duration of your browsing session, while others remain on your device between sessions so that we can remember your preferences. Some of the purposes for which Trackers are used require your consent, which you can withdraw at any time as described below. Strictly necessary Trackers do not require consent.

2. WHERE TO FIND THE FULL LIST OF TRACKERS

The full, up-to-date list of the individual Trackers used on the Website – including, for each Tracker, its name, its provider, the category and purpose for which it is used, its duration, and the types of personal data it processes – is available at any time in our cookie preference centre, which you can open via the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of the Website.

The cookie preference centre is updated regularly, so that it reflects the Trackers actually in use on the Website at any given time, and forms part of this Cookie Policy. Where there is any difference between the general descriptions in this policy and the detailed list in the cookie preference centre, the detailed list prevails.

3. HOW WE USE TRACKERS

The Trackers used on the Website fall into the four categories described below. The specific Trackers within each category are listed in the cookie preference centre (see section 2 above).

3.1 Necessary

These Trackers are strictly necessary for the operation or delivery of the Website and of the services you have requested – for example, Trackers that keep you logged in to your account, remember the contents of your basket, enable payment, protect the Website against fraud and attacks, and record your cookie preferences. These Trackers do not require your consent.

3.2 Experience

These Trackers improve the quality of your experience and enable interactions with external content, networks and platforms – for example, embedded video players and social media features. They are used only with your consent, where consent is required.

3.3 Measurement

These Trackers let us measure traffic and analyse how users interact with the Website so we can improve it – for example, analytics services that tell us which pages are visited and how users move through the Website. They are used only with your consent, where they are not strictly necessary.

3.4 Marketing

These Trackers are used to deliver personalised advertising and marketing content, to measure its performance, and to build audiences for our advertising – for example, advertising pixels and remarketing tags operated by third-party advertising platforms. They are used only with your consent.

4. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PREFERENCES AND CONSENT

Where our use of Trackers is based on consent, you can provide or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie preference centre (see section 2 above). When you first visit the Website you will be presented with a banner allowing you to accept all Trackers, reject all non-essential Trackers, or manage your choices by category.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, which generally allow you to see what cookies are set, and to block or delete them. Instructions for the most common browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge) are available in each browser’s help pages, and general guidance is available at www.allaboutcookies.org.

Please note that browser settings do not allow granular control of consent by category, and that blocking all cookies (including strictly necessary cookies) may prevent parts of the Website from working.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising through industry tools such as YourOnlineChoices (www.youronlinechoices.com), the Network Advertising Initiative (www.networkadvertising.org) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (www.aboutads.info).

You are free to decide whether to give consent. However, if you do not consent to certain Trackers, we may be unable to provide some features of the Website.
